NEW APPOINTMENTS AT SWINDON DANCE
Lynn Vardy, Chair of the Swindon Dance Board of Trustees made the following statement this week:
"We are delighted to announce, that after a successful 6 month interim period, we have now appointed Viv Slayford as Artistic Director of Swindon Dance and Cathy Downes as Executive Director of Swindon Dance. Both Viv and Cathy have a long history (approximately 30 years each) with Swindon Dance and the dance world and bring a wealth of knowledge and experience to their respective roles. We have also seen changes to other areas of the team at Swindon Dance with further appointments now confirmed within the Education and Development team, the reception and facilities team and the Youth Dance Academy our Centre for Advanced Training (YDA/CAT) at Swindon Dance.
Helen Ganberg has been appointed as the new Manager of the Education and Development team with Katie Purcell taking on a new role as Assistant Manager. On the (YDA/CAT) Sarah Ferris will remain in post as the Programme Manager with Amie Hawker staying on as the Coordinator for the YDA Swindon Contemporary Programme and Lynn Caney remaining in the role of Reception Manager.
We on the Board of Trustees will be working to support the team as they move forward into a new exciting era and another thirty six years of wonderful dance from Swindon Dance."
