Neus Gil-Cortes

Neus began dancing at the age of six, and training in classical, contemporary and Spanish dance.
She obtained her diploma in classical dance at the Professional Conservatory of Dance in Valencia in 2001 and carried on training thereafter at the Maria Carbonell Centre in Valencia and at the Carmen Roche Ballet School in Madrid.
In 2005 Neus joined Rotterdam Dance Academy where she graduated in 2007 having performed pieces by Megumi Nakamura and Steven Shropshire, amongst others.
In 2006 Neus was selected for an apprenticeship with Dance Works Rotterdam becoming a full company member in 2007. With Dance Works Rotterdam Neus performed in many pieces by the artistic director and choreographer Ton Simons, as well as guest choreographers such as Dana Caspersen, Sjoerd Vreughdenhil and Steven Petronio.
In 2009 Neus left Rotterdam and joined the National Dance Company Wales, under the artistic direction of Ann Sholem. With NDCWales Neus performed in pieces by Ohad Naharim, Itzic Galili, Andonis Foniadakis, Angelin Preljocaj, Steven Petronio and Eleesha Drennan.
In 2012 Neus received a training grant from the Arts Council of Wales for the Gaga Summer Intensive Course in Tel Aviv led by Batsheva Dance Company.
Neus joined Hofesh Shechter Company in June 2014 to April 2015 performing "Sun", "Political Mother", "Political Mother: the Choreographers Cut" by hofesh Shechter.
Neus is currently a freelance dancer working in London with choreographers such as Theo Clinkard and Ben Duke.
