Leesa Phillips
Leesa trained at the Rambert School. Her performance credits include Janet Smith and dancers, Union Dance Company, London Contemporary Dance Theatre, Arc Dance Company and Richard Alston Dance Company. Film credits consist of Because We Must, by Michael Clark , Just Dancing Around, a documentary on Richard Alston, and various short dance films. Leesa has performed in various commercial music videos alongside artists such as Mick Jagger and has been involved with opera productions by both the Royal Opera and the English National Opera.
Her teaching experience spans most of the vocational dance establishments in the UK including London Contemporary Dance School, Northern School of Contemporary Dance, Trinity Laban and Middlesex University. At a professional level Leesa has taught Scottish Dance Theatre, Phoenix Dance Theatre, Adventures in Motion Pictures, Henri Oguike Dance Company, Diversions, Mark Bruce Dance Company and London Contemporary Dance Theatre. As well as teaching she also held the post of Rehearsal Director for Richard Alston Dance Company.
She is currently Assistant to the Head of Contemporary Dance at the London Studio Centre and Artistic Director of Intoto. Leesa continues to teach on a freelance basis when possible.
