KERRY NEWELL

Kerry Newell was born in Swindon but at the age of 10 won a place a the Arts Educational School Tring, and then continued training for 2 years at Laine Theatre Arts.
Theatre credits include: West Side story, Fame, The Lion King in London's West End and was fortunate to understudy and play the lead roles of Carmen in Fame and Nala in The Lion King. Kerry also played Liz 10 in the Dr Who Live Arena Tour, Main Presenter for CBeebies Live Theatre Tour, Presenter 'Fun Song Factory Tour' and 4 Pantomimes as Principle Boy.
Kerry has done commercials for Harvey's, Littlewoods, Iceland, LYNX, Mars Bar, Courts, British Airways and Toys 'R' Us.
Music videos include: Craig David & Artful Dodger, True steppers, Morcheeba and the Architects. She has also danced for the Australian platinum selling artist; Vanessa Amorosi which gave her the opportunity to perform on Top of the Pops (UK & Germany), MTV Awards and various TV and Roadshows around the UK and Europe.
Kerry was fortunate to be cast as one of 5 presenters for CITV's 'Fun Song Factory' with Aston from JLS, which led to presenting on Nickleodeon, GMTV's Wakey Wakey and making a guest appearance on Toonattick. She was also asked to do a Voice Over for the GMTV Competitions whilst doing her own links for the Wakey Wakey show.
Kerry has hosted the Barbie Dance Star awards which was in conjunction with Arlene Phillips and currently hosts kids shows out in Dubai.
Kerry is the principle of Funkyds Dance School in Hertfordshire and has taught for Italia Conti, Tring Park School of Performing Arts and taught and choreographed for Stella Mann and Urdang.
Kerry loves teaching and passing down her knowledge and experience. She continues to give various workshops for schools and colleges around the UK.
