FEBRUARY INTENSIVE IN THE PRESS

 Last week's intensive featured a host of guests including Yorke Dance Project, Georges Hann, Ben Dunks, Joss Arnott Dance and the National Centre for Circus Arts. The Swindon Programmes were covered in the local newspaper:

A host of skills were on show at Swindon Dance yesterday during a series of intensive classes.

The National Centre for Circus Arts, Yorke Dance Project and expert choreographer Joss Arnott were all involved, putting young dancers through their paces throughout the sessions.

Students from the [YDA] Contemporary and Urban programmes were receiving expert coaching from the groups.

Vicki Bailey, the Urban Programme Coordinator...said "it was a very busy day but it was fantastic for the students. Yorke Dance Project will perform here next Friday and the students are working with them on a curtain raiser for the show, so they will get a chance to train and perform with them. The National Centre for Circus Arts gave the urban students some lessons, particularly on tumbling, so that they have the technique to go with their talent and can dance safely"

"And another group from Contemporary Programme was working with a choreographer called Joss Arnott on some great things."
