Ben joined the Exeter Contemporary Programme of the Swindon Dance CAT at 15 having never participated in any kind of dance previously. He was very much sport based, competing and training in rugby, cross country, aikido and surf lifesaving. The CAT became a priority very quickly as Ben’s understanding of anatomy and physiology, natural movement of the body and his love of music helped him to improve and explore movement in dance.

He graduated from the CAT in 2017 summer and accepted a place at Falmouth University to study on the Dance and Choreography course.

Ben started his own dance company and has choreographed 2 pieces under Ementior Dance, 1 for a local arts festival in Falmouth Town.

Ben loves working with Contact Improvisation and Somatic Dance, focusing on the work of Karl Frost and Bakani Pick-up to create work that is emotionally challenging for the audience and performers.
