BARTEK WOSZCZYNSKI

Bartek is a choreographer, movement director and dancer who also works in the field of theatre and filmmaking world-wide as an independent artist.

Bartek started dancing in Formacja Tanca Nowoczesnego LUZ based in his hometown - Siedlce, Poland. Dance very quickly started becoming his huge passion and at the age of 15 he joined youth dance theatre Alternatywny Teatr Tanca LUZ. Dancing and choreographing he was touring with ATT LUZ in many countries including France, Japan and The USA. While in Poland, he was also involved in many contemporary/dance theatre projects as well as more commercial things (such as So You Think You Can Dance, Polish 5th season). At the age of 19 he moved to London in order to join the famous Rambert School of Ballet and Contemporary Dance.

After dancing extensively in many countries and working with different choreographers he decided to start creating his own work and working on various projects as a choreographer, movement director and filmmaker.

As a choreographer, Bartek has created a number of both independent and commissioned works that were performed in several countries such as the UK, Poland, Japan, USA, Canada, Bulgaria and Belarus. He has also extensively worked on film productions including a Canadian TV series ‚The Next Step’, a film On|Off which was made with a creative agency The Doll for London Fashion Week 2015 and many others.

Bartek constantly pushes his mental and physical boundaries always aiming to connect the abstract with theatricality. Using very physical and dynamic movement vocabulary, he believes that dance is the most honest way of expression and constantly looks for new and inspiring ways to express himself as an artist.
